Whales Tail

whale tail blogThanks to our amazing crew on board our vessel the Mahi Mahi, as they managed to get some awesome photos of a whale who kept splashing its tail in the air.  This photo was my favourite as you can also see the Surfers Paradise skyline in the background.  I think the whale was practicing synchronised swimming, but just needed more whales to join in.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) launched the global grassroots campaign “Tails for Whales” to show governments around the world that there is widespread support to protect whales.  To show your support, you can send them a photo of yourself holding your hands together in the shape of a "whales tail".  For further information you can check out their website at http://www.tailsforwhales.org/ as we love supporting the whales in any way we can too.

Thank you to all these organisations for their support in helping the whale numbers increase again so we can continue to watch these beautiful creatures be so playful in their natural environment.
