Record breaking season

Record breaking season

The Whales in Paradise team have been operating for over 10 years, and this year we have carried a record number of passengers and seen the whale population flourish in the warm calm waters off the Gold Coast.

Humpback Whales are no longer on the endangered species list, and their population is increasing with over 25,000 whales migrating through Queensland.

Our two vessels Kaiala and Mahi Mahi have carried almost 40,000 nature lovers to see the Whale spectacular.  The whales have failed to disappoint our guests, throughout our 5 trips a day.

With over 80% of our passengers from Australia, many of them are from Queensland wanting to show family and friends the natural wonder of our annual visitors from Antarctica. Our trips depart from central Surfers Paradise allowing guests to also enjoy a complimentary tour of the Gold Coast waterways and homes of rich and famous.

With the mothers and calves now making their way back down south, it’s the perfect chance to see adorable baby Whales before they return next year almost fully grown.
