1st Whale Watch Cruise for 2014
Wow what an amazing morning of whale watching on the Gold Coast, although a little drizzly the weather didn't dampen the spirits of the whale watchers. The Gold Coast Whale Watching season kicked off today the 31st of May 2014 with a big splash this year for the passengers and team at Whales in Paradise. 2x whales were spotted about 4km's off the Gold Coast Seaway. The lucky passengers onboard were treated to these Humpback whales putting on a real show breaching (jumping out of the water) and tail slapping just metres from the vessel.
Checkout the first official whale breaching off the Gold Coast for the 2014 season below. Frankie our crew member and whale expert from Sweden happily snapped this 30 ton giant with his iPhone on today's tour.
We have the 11:00am and 2:30pm whale watch tours departing tomorrow for some more Gold Coast whale action and from Monday the 2nd of June our 7:30am, 11:00am and 2:30pm whale watching tours will be departing every day until the 9th of November.
